What can you have connected?
Most installs fall into one of these groups, and each one is priced the same way, with a fixed figure named up front.
- Kitchen appliances: cooktops, wall ovens and freestanding cookers, including disconnection of the old unit
- Outdoor points: BBQ bays, heaters and outdoor kitchens on alfresco slabs
- Pool heaters and their dedicated gas lines
- Space heaters and wall furnaces
- Gas hot water units, covered with every other system type under hot water
A smell of gas at any point before, during or after an appliance job is different work entirely. The gas leak detection and repair page covers what to do first and how a leak is traced and fixed.

Covered for a year

The wider plumbing and gas side of this trade, including repairs and new lines to anywhere on the property, sits on the gas fitting hub.
What drives the price?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
Four things shape the figure:
- How far the line travels from the meter at the kerb to where the appliance sits, since pipe and trenching do most of the work on any run
- What sits in between, with concrete paths, stone walls and sloping ground all slowing the route
- The appliance itself, because a cooker swap is simpler than a pool heater that needs its own dedicated line
- Whether an old unit has to come out first, since disconnection is part of the job and priced into it

What Customers Say
Had a gas hot water system installed at my house. Really happy with the install.
Questions Before the Stove Goes In
Can you run a new gas line to a rear addition on a Kotara block?
Yes. Plenty of houses here went in before gas points in kitchens and alfresco areas were standard, so a new run from the meter is normal work. It gets quoted as part of the install once we have walked the route from the street to the appliance.
Can a BBQ point go in behind a retaining wall?
Yes, outdoor points are standard work. The retaining walls and steep driveways on the sloping blocks here can add length to the run, and that length shows in the fixed quote before anything starts, so you know the figure up front.
Who certifies the gas work?
A licensed gas fitter does the work and signs it off on completion. If a sale or a reno ever needs the paperwork, it records the line, the appliance and the pressure test results.
What if my Kotara house has no gas line at all?
If the street has gas, a new service line is routine and gets quoted together with the appliance. If the network does not reach your street, we flag that on the first call and talk through the alternatives instead.
